取自『士子如林』，士林區不僅文教氣息濃厚，有故宮博物院、天文館及科教館等知識聖地，亦有臺灣戲曲中心與新落成的臺北表演藝術中心座落於此，每到週末，揚名國際的士林夜市也時常熱鬧得水洩不通。往緊鄰陽明山的天母前進，因早期美軍進駐，讓天母商圈充滿異國風情。
It is quoted from “Scholars as many as a forest”; Shilin District is not only a holy ground of knowledge, full of cultural and educational atmosphere, e.g., the Palace Museum, Planetarium, and National Taiwan Science Education Center, but also a place where the National Center for Traditional Arts, and the newly inaugurated Taipei Performing Arts Center are located. On weekends, the internationally famous Shilin Night Market is turning into a bustling site jam-packed with tourists; moving toward to Tienmu (Mountain Yang Ming), you may find that the Tienmu commercial area is full of exotic appearance because the U.S. Army was deployed here in the early stage.
